Course Description:

This course covers the theory and practice of modern macroeconomics. We will focus on the underlying determinants of economic growth, unemployment and inflation by developing and assessing a variety of simple models. In addition, students should learn to analyze the impact of monetary and fiscal policy on the macroeconomy. Extensive references to current macroeconomic developments and applications of macroeconomic models are essential elements of the course.
