Course Description:

This purpose of this course is for students to establish their English communication skills in the business field through reading and discussing current business news articles. In addition, students are required to read seven GMAT reading comprehension articles to develop their critical reasoning and reading abilities. In this semester, the course will focus on the following topics: financial analysts, recent IPO (Initial Public Offering) event, recent M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) event, recent LBO (Leveraged Buyout) event, recent hot topic in technology, GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and unemployment related topics, and financial crisis during 2007 to 2009.
